Jose Lazares comes to Onna with more than 20 years of experience in building, delivering, and selling transformational software and technology platforms. Prior to joining Onna, he served as the Senior Vice President of Product Management and Innovation at Intapp, where he developed and led the company’s Industry cloud product and platform strategy targeting professional services industries including legal, accounting, consulting and financial services. His leadership of Intapp’s product vision helped scale the business from $50 million in revenue to over $200 million in less than five years, resulting in a successful IPO. During his tenure at Intapp, the company grew from 700 to 1,600 customers, delivered 10 new products, and implemented an AI/ML strategy for legal holds, conflicts clearance, contractual terms management, and engagement management.
Jose’s experience spans both startup and Fortune 100 organizations. He previously led product, development and go-to-market teams at Cisco Systems, Thismoment, Avid Technology, and Oracle, with a focus on building integration, process, and automation platforms, as well as supporting product ecosystems. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Supply Chain from Harvard Business School.
Andy Mallinger is an accomplished software product leader with over 20 years of experience in strategic software product management and marketing for enterprise and consumer markets. Andy joins Onna from Opentext where he was Vice President of Product, and he previously held senior Product roles at Carbonite, Webroot, Unigo Group and iovation. He has a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and his Bachelor’s degree was in Computer Science and Economics from Denison University.
“We are committed to providing our customers with the platform and technology solutions needed to tackle a monumental data challenge of our time: transforming vast amounts of disparate and siloed information into useful knowledge that drives business outcomes. The addition of Jose and Andy to our executive team will strengthen our leadership behind this mission,” said Salim Elkhou, Onna founder and CEO. “Their deep expertise in defining a product vision, creating and executing innovative product strategies, managing partner and development ecosystems, and building scalable go-to-market programs will be invaluable as we continue to develop our product offerings.”
“Onna has an incredible opportunity to become the modern leader in knowledge discovery with an integration platform that helps organizations make their proprietary information accessible, useful, and private, and generates knowledge to drive positive business outcomes,” said Jose Lazares, Chief Product Officer. “I am honored to be a part of bringing this vision to life, and applying my passion for building transformative products to help accelerate Onna’s next phase of growth.”
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Onna team,” said Andy Mallinger, VP of Product Platform. “The platform Onna has created presents incredible opportunities for innovation and leadership in enabling customers to turn information into knowledge. I’ve also been impressed with the company’s values and culture, and the chance to help an already strong product team focus and manage growth in a dynamic new segment is incredibly exciting!”
Onna integrates knowledge from workplace applications, allowing organizations to unify, protect, search, automate, and build on top of their proprietary knowledge. With the rise of cloud-based and hosted workplace apps, knowledge is extremely fragmented and difficult to access in most organizations, costing businesses huge amounts of time and money in searching for their own information.
Onna’s Knowledge Integration Platform connects to many of the most popular applications, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Dropbox, Salesforce, and many more. It supports eDiscovery, information governance, knowledge management, archiving, monitoring for private and sensitive data sharing, and building bespoke internal workflow apps using proprietary information.
With headquarters in New York City and Barcelona and teams in Raleigh, San Francisco, Toulouse, and London, Onna supports some of the world’s leading companies, including Dropbox, Electronic Arts, Fitbit, Lyft, NewsCorp, and Slack. Onna has raised more than $50M from investors, including Atomico, Dawn Capital, Dropbox, and Slack Fund. To learn more, visit www.onna.com.
